Articulate Adobe Presenter is a software tool that integrates with Microsoft PowerPoint to enable you to add narration, interactivity and Adobe Flash movies into a PowerPoint presentation, which can then be delivered over the Internet. While this may sound complicated, it’s not-the Articulate Presenter add-on complements the simplicity and ease of use of PowerPoint. After you purchase and install Articulate Presenter, you’ll notice that a new item appears on the PowerPoint menu bar labeled “Articulate.” Follow these steps to develop your own Flash-based presentation.
- Install Articulate Presenter. The next time you open PowerPoint, “Articulate” will appear on the PowerPoint main menu.
-
Step 2
Create a PowerPoint presentation as you normally would. Don’t hold back; use as many PowerPoint features as you think appropriate-use animations, slide transitions, graphics or even flying text.
-
Step 3
From the PowerPoint menu, select “Articulate.” The drop-down menu will display. Select “Publish.” The Articulate Presenter “Publish” dialog box will display.
-
Step 4
Notice that there are a number of choices, from publishing to the Web to publishing to CD-ROM. Since you’re interested in publishing to the Internet, select “Web” and then “Publish.”
-
Step 5
After the presentation is successfully published, a message will display showing you where the Adobe Flash file has been copied. It also asks if you want to view the published presentation.
-
Step 6
Click the “Yes” button. The Web-based Flash presentation will load and display in the Articulate Presenter player.
